The Jacobs Research Group is based in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Texas State University. We are a group of scientists using optical spectroscopy, microscopy, mass spectrometry, and computational techniques to develop a fundamental understanding of chemistry in microcompartments. We are highly interdisciplinary, addressing problems inspired by atmospheric chemistry, catalysis, materials science, and biology.
